Second Seal

And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. - Revelation 6:3-4

Feast of Tabernacles

The seven-day feast of Tabernacles begins at sundown this evening. Moses instructed the Israelites to live in Tabernacles or booths made from palm fronds and tree branches for seven days, beginning on the 15th day of the 7th month. This was done to remind the Israelites that they had lived in temporary shelters as they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. (Leviticus 23:34-43) The feasts which God gave to Israel are prophetic. Many prophesied events have occurred on these feast days. There is a good chance that one particular prophecy will be fulfilled during the next seven days. -  I’ll be watching. (Photo of Sukkah (Tabernacle) in Israel by Zachi Evenor)

US Pulls Nukes from Turkey

The 50 tactical nuclear weapons the US has at Turkey’s Incirlik air base are being rushed to another air base in Romania. Turkey’s president Erdogan blames the US for the attempted coup which took place July 15th. Since the attempted coup, Turkey has gone from being an ally of the United States to being an ally of Russia. Now the US is having to move their nukes from Incirlik air base or lose them. The recent rapid realignment of the Middle East has some bible prophecy teachers thinking Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39.

Tenth Day of the Fifth Month

Today is Sunday, August 14, 2016 on our Gregorian calendar. But on the Biblical calendar it is the tenth day of the fifth month. Both Jewish Temples were destroyed on this momentous day. On the tenth day of the fifth month in 586 B.C. the first Jewish Temple (Solomon’s Temple) was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar:

“Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem, And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire”. (Jeremiah 52:12-13)

And it was on the tenth day of the fifth month in 70 A.D that the second Jewish Temple was destroyed by the Roman General Titus:

“So Titus retired into the tower of Antonia, and resolved to storm the temple the next day, early in the morning, with his whole army, and to encamp round about the holy house. But as for that house, God had, for certain, long ago doomed it to the fire; and now that fatal day was come, according to the revolution of ages; it was the tenth day of the month Lous, (Av – Fifth Hebrew month) upon which it was formerly burnt by the king of Babylon …” (Josephus –War of the Jews – Book 6, Chapter 4, verse 5)

Since 70 A.D. many other disasters have taken place on this date. And it is my belief that a dark prophecy from the book of Daniel will be fulfilled on a future tenth day of the fifth month.

God, the great timekeeper, causes events to transpire according to his calendar - the biblical calendar.

Jewish Scholar talks Isaiah 53

Dead Sea Scroll Scholar and my favorite Hebrew and Torah teacher Nehemia Gordon reveals why he doesn't see Jesus in Isaiah 53. I've learned so much from this man. Nehemia knows the New Testament better than many Christian Scholars. Although he says he doesn't believe in Yeshua (Jesus), I think he might be a secret disciple like Joseph of Arimathaea. In this delightful and informative interview Nehemia puts forth his idea of Messiah.

Rare Solstice Full Moon

For the first time since June 1967 the Summer Solstice and the Full moon will occur on the same day. Today (June 20) at 6:34 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, the northern hemisphere will reach its maximum degree of tilt toward the sun, making it the longest day of the year. Also this evening just after sunset the full moon will rise in the east. The last time this happened (June 1967) the Jews took control of Jerusalem.

Could today’s celestial event have prophetic overtones? There could be another shift in the Middle East, possibly involving the Temple Mount. Genesis 1:14 states, “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:” Also Jesus said, “there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars “ (Luke 21:25). Look to the east this evening to see a rare Solstice Full Moon.

Update - There has been some confusion concerning the last June Solstice Full Moon. Some say it was June 1948, while others say it was June 1967. I checked the timeanddate.com website and found the following: Both the June Solstice and the Full Moon occurred on Thursday, June 22, 1967. The time of the Solstice was 2:23 A.M Universal Time. The time of the Full Moon was 4:57 A.M. Universal Time. They were only 2 hours and 34 minutes apart. I always use my astronomy program to calculate such events and hadn’t checked it out on the internet. Here are the links to the info at timeanddate.com: Solstice - http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/seasons.html… Moon Phase - http://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/uk/london?year=1967 - Remember that in June London is 1 hour ahead of UT (Universal Time).

UN Resolution and the Temple Mount

UNESCO, The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization adopted a resolution recognizing the temple mount in Jerusalem as a Muslim holy site. The resolution ignored the historical connection the Jewish people have to the temple mount which has spanned the last three thousand years. Isn't it amazing what oil money can do. It can buy UN votes, Senators, and even Presidents. But oil money cannot change God’s word. The bible states that there will be a Jewish temple in the last days. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 that the man of sin (the Antichrist) will sit in the temple of god declaring himself to be God. This cannot happen if Jerusalem’s Temple Mount remains exclusively in Muslim hands. God has a way of changing things, and nothing changes things like war.

The end time temple prophesied in the bible will be a divided temple, possibly shared by both Jew and Muslim. The temple proper will be Jewish with the outer courts belonging to the gentiles (Muslims).

“And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.” (Rev 11:1-2)

To measure with a reed or rod in prophetic scripture is symbolic of a new building project. (Ezekiel 40:1-19). I look for a major war followed by an international agreement which will allow a Jewish temple to be rebuilt sometime in the near future. Jesus said that “scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35), thus the scriptures declaring an end time Jewish temple cannot be broken.

The United Nations is under the delusion that it controls this world. But Psalm 2:4 says, “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.”

Israel-Palestinian conflict

Adolf Hitler said, “If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” Satan and his followers have deceived the world concerning the Israel-Palestinian conflict. The left in the US have become staunch supporters of the Palestinian lie. College campuses influenced by money from Saudi Arabia are pro Palestinian and meet Israeli views with violence. The only answer for this lie is the truth. The 5 Minute video “1964: The Truth about the Palestinians” concisely gives the true history of this disputed land.

Sanhedrin and the New Moon

The Sanhedrin has begun accepting eyewitness testimony of Crescent New Moon sightings. They intend to use new moon sightings at some time in the future to establish the first day of Hebrew months. This is the way it was done in biblical times in accordance with the calendar God gave Moses at Mt. Sinai. Since 359 A.D the Jews have used the mathematical Hillel II (Rabbinic) Calendar to determine months and feast days. Having been exiled to various nations of the world they were unable to observe the Crescent New Moon and the Aviv barley in Israel.

You may ask why this matters. Well you first must understand that God does not fulfill prophetic events according to the Rabbinic or Gregorian calendars. Our Gregorian calendar is a 1582 A.D. revision of the pagan Julian calendar set up by Julius Caesar in 45 B.C. But God does schedule prophetic events according to the Biblical Crescent New Moon Calendar. I will give two examples in modern times. The first example is the capture of Jerusalem by the British in 1917, a major prophetic event. On our calendar it was Tuesday, December 11, 1917, but on the Biblical Calendar it was the 25th day of the 9th month which is the 1st day of Hanukkah (The Feast of Dedication John 10:22). The second example is the day modern Israel became a nation. On our calendar it was Saturday, May 15, 1948, but on the biblical calendar it was the Feast of Pentecost (Chag Shavuot). I could give numerous other examples but what makes this really important is that the things scheduled to take place in the end times like the Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls of Revelation will be fulfilled according to the Biblical Calendar and not according to the Rabbinic or Gregorian Calendars. Jonathan Cahn a dear Jewish brother in Christ made some predictions for September 2015 that didn’t happen. Jonathan got it wrong because he's following the Rabbinic Calendar and not the Biblical Calendar. You may be skeptical, but I’ve seen too many major events take place according to the Biblical Calendar to be convinced otherwise.
