The seven-day feast of Tabernacles begins at sundown this
evening. Moses instructed the Israelites to live in Tabernacles or booths made
from palm fronds and tree branches for seven days, beginning on the 15th day of
the 7th month. This was done to remind the Israelites that they had lived in
temporary shelters as they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. (Leviticus
23:34-43) The feasts which God gave to Israel are prophetic. Many prophesied
events have occurred on these feast days. There is a good chance that one
particular prophecy will be fulfilled during the next seven days. - I’ll be watching. (Photo of Sukkah (Tabernacle) in Israel by Zachi Evenor)
